FAQs

1. What is the length and nature of the submission?

The submission can be a long  abstract or a short paper, 1000-3000 word long – about 3 to 10 pages, double-spaced – including tables and references. The submission will contain as much details as you can provide. These details will help us decide on the nature of you work for purposes of selection and assignment to the appropriate session.

2. Will the submission be published as conference proceedings?

Yes, Springer publishers will publish all accepted submissions, revised if needed, as GRBM Conference Proceedings, with the following title: Advances in National Brand and Private Label Marketing - 12th International Conference on Global Retail Brand Management, Dallas, Texas, USA, 2025. This proceedings publication will enable other conference registrants to learn about your work. Springer will seek your copyright permission to print your work.

3. Can I submit a longer paper to a journal even if the submission is published in the conference proceedings?

Yes, you can. Though the publishing policy depends on the journal you are submitting to, in general, a longer paper, may be with more work and a different title, can be submitted to a journal for review. The purpose of this conference is for the session attendees to listen to your presentation and provide comments for improvement of your research and resulting manuscript. If appropriate, you may incorporate these comments in your revised version for submission to a journal.

4. If my submission is accepted for conference presentation, will it be automatically published in the Journal of Global Marketing?

Not necessarily. Because of the global nature of the conference, Journal of Global Marketing (JGM) has encouraged authors to submit their papers to the journal. However, (i) you can decide to submit or not submit a manuscript to JGM for review and possible publication and (ii) Upon review, JGM will accept papers for publication those that pass their manuscript guidelines and quality standards.

5. Should the submissions be related to private label marketing?

Not really. While the original conference was on NB-PL marketing, this 12th conference is wider in scope and covers all areas of global retail brand management including online retailing and category management, or any topic on brand management that explicitly incorporates the retailer in marketing goods and services. The research can be conceptual, behavioral, empirical, analytical, or a combination.
